Press & Marketing Intern 2015

Warehouse Fashion Clothing                                                                                             (4 weeks)

•Played a supportive role within the marketing department gaining an insight into daily day-to-day activities surrounding the press and marketing department.
•Assisted the marketing executive and marketing assistant in the creation and launch of events to support the opening of a new store.

•Worked closely with the Press team evaluating past collaborations with clients and brands in order to create ranges.

•Reviewed media coverage from publications and created a presentation document to promote the event.
•Demonstrated the ability to confidently plan and follow through tasks independently by researching and collecting event promotion data from PR/ Marketing agencies.
•Despatched samples to celebrities and organised returned items, which included signing them back in and placing them in the press showroom.
•Maintained up-to-date records of all samples using excel spread sheets.
•Gained experience in creative marketing by helping to select outfits for models during website photo shoots.
•Demonstrated strong time management and organisational skills to meet strict for event launches.

Key Accomplishment:

 

Applied creative thinking to devise an innovative ‘Breakfast Bag’ campaign to drive target customers to the Warehouse store opening in Canary Wharf. The campaign was acknowledged as highly successful, particularly as the concept enabled Warehouse to increase their brand exposure through the distribution of merchandise at peak commuting times.

* Worked as a volunteer for Mary’s Living and Giving, the charity retail boutique launched and operated by Save The Children.

* Organised visual merchandising, display and product presentations to maximise the impact of product promotions.
* Attracted customers by originating display ideas and producing merchandise displays in windows and on the shop floor.
* Served customers in a courteous and professional manner, and processed cash and credit transactions accurately.

* Closed the till and balanced the takings, analysed sales receipts and prepared forecasts for future sales.
